With the finishing touches being applied to the engine, we expect the baton to be passed back to us early next year. We’re looking forward to bringing that news to you soon, when we’ll be in the home stretch leading to master production and game release!

At our panel at Anime Expo in July we announced that Deus Machina Demonbane would see release in summer 2010. The summer is now over, so we’re here to provide an update on the  project. First and foremost, we’d like to reassure fans and preorder customers that the game is still scheduled for release in the near future. The translation is complete, the manual/artbook insert and special DVD box are complete, and the cases have been printed and are ready to go!

The final sticking point relates to the conversion and insertion of the text, which requires working with a new game engine that Nitroplus developed in-house to future proof their game lineup. This part of the process is in the hands of the capable, thorough, and very busy folks at Nitroplus – they’re moving offices in a month along with their packed game release and event schedule, so as a result work on the Demonbane conversion has been delayed.

Demonbane is still center in our sights on both sides of the production process, and we’re confident that the final product will be worth the wait. We appreciate your patience as we continue to shepherd this exciting and indeed epic title to completion. Further updates will be available on this site as well as at Nitroplus USA as development enters the finishing stage.

We’re hard at work combing for any bugs in the text and hundreds of graphics that make up the game, which is over three times the size of the original Lightning Warrior Raidy. We’ve been holding back on news on the title to be sure we had everything nailed down to proceed through to release, so we’re happy to announce that barring any additional unforeseen issues, the game will be complete within the next month and headed for distribution shortly after. Editorial decisions were made by the translator to omit some redundant lines for better flow of the text. We reviewed these decisions and agreed that they had merit and preserved the meaning of the original, so we opted to leave these lines out. No content of any substance was removed or changed in this process.

For Context
As with all titles we release, the Cat Girl Alliance text was reviewed to ensure that all aspects of the game conform to our standards of quality and the requirements of localization for the American and international markets. In Cat Girl Alliance, this consisted exclusively of clarification of vague or absent descriptive elements of the story (character ages, academic positions, and a few others).

Note that there are one or two points in the game where the spoken lines are at odds with the image being displayed on screen; while technically in error, in these cases we have kept the discrepancy intact. You can blame us (or thank us) when you find these little easter eggs, but please note that we’re just the messengers. ^^

We received word from our sister brand G-Collections that as of November, their latest game Cat Girl Alliance is in beta testing and final post-production! When our hero Eiji stumbles on an orgy in progress in the health office of his junior college, he can’t help but enjoy the sight of the futanari (hermaphrodite) class president Rumi and her slavishly devoted friend Natsuki consummating their friendship.
